Cambodia - Kep
We took a bus from Sihanoukville to visit Kep. In Kep it is all about the crab.
Everyone is selling and eating them
Smokey room where you can buy fresh cooked crab which has come straight from the sea.
There is also a market there where you can buy other stuff
At a cafe a few doors down from the crab market
I tried a lime ginger drink. Divine apart from the half a dozen ants in the glass. It took great dexterity to maneuver my straw so not to drink to many ants.
We picked this handsome devil
Looks great on a plate
Gets official seal of approval
We also grabbed a tuk tuk to look around town. The Tul Tuk driver told us the story of the white lady statue.
This women's husband went to sea and never returned. Every day she would go down to the shore and patiently wait for him. In the end a statue was built so that she was permanently on watch. Apparently her children were not happy with her nudity and have clothed the statue.
Some of the building still bare bullet holes and scars from the Pol Pot Khmer Rouge era.
