Cambodia - Tonle Sap lake

Tonle Sap is the largest fresh water lake in Asia. Fishing is the main livelihood for people living on the lake. It can supply up to 400,000 tons of fish annually.
During the dry season the lake is reduced to area of 2,500 sq km and a depth of 2 metres. For 3 to 4 months it can expand to over 12,000 sq km and a maximum depth of 10 metres

While at the floating village we were asked if we wanted to make a donation of rice to the local school / orphanage. We declined as the rice we purchased would have been sold back to the supplier in an endless loop. I don't know where the money goes to but am sure it does not go to the people who need it.
