Cambodia .. Sihanoukville .. Koh Rong

We caught the boat for a day trip to Koh Rong island.  It is about 40 minutes by boat and no roads when you get there.

We arrived in the most populous part of the island which has 300 metres of restaurants, rooms and three piers. All other parts of the island are very quiet.

Apart from ourselves everyone on the island seemed to be between 18 to 25 years old.  This place must be heavily circled on dog eared travel guides. Speaking of dogs. On arrival a random dog will attach to your posse. Our one was great. Had a great knowledge of the island, was polite, enthusiastically removed any other dogs that considered joining us, and accompanied us the whole stay.

We elected to travel along a path to escape the brand new hippy brigade and found a deserted beach for a picnic. Most of the inner jungle is unexplored and American survivor show was filmed here.

A few problems with stuck jandals in the wet path.

Lots of great shacks hidden in between the trees.

Chicken walks into a bar.
